Budget Amendment Recommendation: Board adopt a resolution amending the Fiscal Year 2010-2011 Budget. Emergency Services EMS Request for Endorsement of Grant Recommendation: Board execute a resolution authorizing the endorsement of Bay Medical Center to apply for grant money for the improvement and expansion of emergency medical services (EMS). Lakeside Shores Plat Approval Recommendation: Board approve the final plat of Lakeside Shores Subdivision. This subdivision consists of six residential lots along county road Lakeview Drive. Annual Gulf Coast Triathlon Recommendation: Board authorize the use of County road rights-of-way for the 29th Annual Gulf Coast Triathlon to be held Saturday, May 7, 2011. Planning & Zoning 2009 JLUS Implementation 2nd Grant Recommendation: Board execute an agreement with the firm of Wilson Miller, Inc for a fee of $106,500 to assist Bay County in the implementation of the 2009 Naval Support Activity Joint Land Use Study. The Office of Economic Adjustment of the U.S. Department of Defense will provide 100% of the funding. Clerk of Circuit Court Revenues & Expenditures & Qtr. Investment Reports Recommendation: Board acknowledge receipt of reports.
Establish Animal Control Advisory Committee Recommendation: Board adopt a resolution establishing Animal Control Advisory Committee. The Committee will have the duties of researching animal control methods and standards and reporting that research to the Animal Control Manager and providing input to the Board upon request.
8038 Willow Road Clean & Lien Recommendation: Board direct staff to have the trash, garbage and debris removed from the property, and impose a lien on the property for the costs of cleaning property.
Demolition of Mulberry Government Complex Recommendation: Board to award the base bid in the amount of $94,700 to Jobe’s Dirt Works to provide for demolition and asbestos abatement of the former Mulberry Government Complex.
Watson Bayou Storm Water Retrofit Recommendation: Board: 1) approve the Northwest Florida Water Management District (NWFWMD) Grant Agreement; and 2) authorize the Chairman to sign the agreement for $800,000 to fund the design and construction of a storm water retrofit facility in accordance with the recommendations of the Watson Bayou Management Master Plan.
Authorize Waiver Recommendation: Authority Board to authorize Chairman to execute the “Agreement for Negotiations & Waiver of Right to Reference This Agreement or Negotiations in Any Prospective Claim,” authorize County Attorney to participate in negotiations and report to Authority Board any proposed settlement offers.
The Bay County Board of County Commissioners will convene an attorney-client session pursuant to Section 286.011, Florida Statutes, to discuss matters involving the case of Allen Johnson, LLC v. Bay County, Case No. 5:10-cv-00260-RS-MD. In attendance will be the Board of County Commissioners, County Manager, County Attorney, Assistant County Attorney and a certified court reporter. The Executive Session will begin at 9:00 a.m., or soon thereafter as it may be heard.
