Bay County Courthouse Addition Award Recommendation: Board: 1) Approve the Professional Services Agreement with Collins & Associates, Inc. for the design of the Bay County Courthouse Addition Project in the amount of $1,009,660; and, 2) Authorize reimbursable expenses and contingency funds in the amount of $75,000. On March 6, 2012, the Board ranked the responses and presentations from six (6) architectural firms and directed staff to negotiate a contract with Collins & Associates, Inc. for the design of the Bay County Courthouse Addition Project.
Road Closure for Biggest Loser Half Marathon Recommendation: Board request Florida Department of Transportation to close the eastbound lane of Front Beach Road from the city limits of Panama City Beach to the Ramsgate Condominiums on the morning of December 30, 2012 for the 1st Annual Biggest Loser RunAA/alk Half Marathon.
Tilling & Escarpment Contract 2013 Recommendation: Board 1) award the Beach Tilling and Escarpment Leveling project to GAC Contractors, 2) authorize the Chairman to execute the contract, and 3) further authorize the Chairman to execute and deliver the corresponding amendment to State Grant Agreement 11BA2. The Panama City Beaches tilling and scarp leveling work is a requirement following the 2011 Beach Re-nourishment Construction Project
Bay Haven Charter Academy TEFRA Hearing Recommendation: Board to conduct a TEFRA hearing allowing public comment to the issuance of up to $18,000,000 (Series 2012) in conduit tax-exempt financing for the Bay Haven Charter Academy, Inc.
Initial Public Hearing for Deerwood PPP Recommendation: Board: 1) Conduct the public hearing and receive public comments; and, 2) Approve the Participating Paving Project for Deerwood Road, Deerwood Lane, Caraway Lane, and Fawn Road. Sixty-eight percent (68%) of the owners abutting the property support the project.
2nd Reading - RiverCamps Development Agreement Extension Recommendation: Board to conduct a second public hearing to consider a request to amend a Development Agreement between Bay County and The St. Joe Company for the RiverCamps on Crooked Creek development. Property located on the south side of County Road 388, between the Intracoastal Waterway on the west and Crooked Creek to the east, West Bay area.
