Budget 1. Budget Amendment FY2012-2013 Recommendation: Requesting that the Board adopt a resolution amending the Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Budget. County Manager 2. Commissioner Committee Appointments Recommendation: Board to approve appointments of Commissioners to various committees through 2013-2014. 3. Financial Conduit for Paratransit Services Recommendation: The Board to define its temporary role as CTC for 6 months. The 6 months will take the CTC role through June 30, 2014. Emergency Services 4. CDBG Salvation Army Rental Housing Recommendation Request that the Board approve the Salvation Army Rental Housing Renovations Rebid, ITB 14-05, per staff recommendations. General Services 5. FDOC Work Squad Renewal Contract - Parks & Recreation Recommendation: Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a one year contract, subject to a one year renewal with the Florida Department of Corrections (FDOC) to provide one inmate work squad, with a correctional officer, to be utilized for general labor in the Parks & Recreation Division. Public Works 6. Everitt Avenue Sidewalk Amendment LAP Agreement Recommendation: Board: 1) Approve the Supplemental Local Agency Program Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for construction of the Everitt Avenue Sidewalk Project; and, 2) Authorize the Chairman to sign the agreement and resolution. (District III) 7. Magnolia Beach Rd/Delwood Beach Rd Multi-Use Path Contract Recommendation: Board: Approve the Professional Services Agreement with Gortemoller Engineering, Inc. for the design of the Magnolia Beach Road / Delwood Beach Road Multi-Use Path Project in the amount of $86,665. (District V) 8. State Avenue Paved Shoulders & Safety Improvements Recommendation: Board: 1) Award the bid for the State Avenue Paved Shoulders & Safety Improvements project to C.W.Roberts Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $ 731,265.88; and, 2) Authorize contingency and testing funds in the amount of $ 44,000.00 (6%). (District I) TDC 9. Biggest Loser Vt Marathon Route Recommendation: For the Board to request for the Florida Department of Transportation to close the right-hand lane of the northbound side of the Buchanan Bridge on FL 79 on the morning of December 29, 2013 for the 2nd Annual Biggest Loser Run/Walk 1/2 Marathon. (District IV & V) 10. TDC Renovations Contract Recommendation: Board 1) award the base bid and authorize the Chairman to sign a contract for the Tourist Development Council Building (TDC) Renovations project with Hall Contracting & Construction, Inc. in the amount of $ 222,802.00 and; 2) Authorize contingency funds in the amount of $ 22,280.00 (10%). Uniform Method of Collecting Non-Ad Valorem Assessments Recommendation: Board to conduct a public hearing, receive public input, and approve the resolution electing to use the uniform method of collection for any non-ad valorem special assessment program the Board deems appropriate.
