Appointment of Special Magistrate Recommendation: Board to appoint Jonathan Dingus, Esq. as Special Magistrate to hear dangerous dog appeals and to authorize the County Manager to negotiate the terms and conditions of his employment in an amount not to exceed his purchasing authority. Public Works 2. Resota Beach Road Maintenance Claim Recommendation: Board to accept and approve the Maintenance Claim of Resota Beach Road from Long Road, southerly and westerly, to County Road 2321. (District IV) 3. Boom Axe Purchase Recommendation: Board approve and authorize staff to purchase a Boom Axe under the Florida Sheriffs Contract #13-11-0904 at a total cost of $108,449.00. Tourist Development Council 4. TDC-RMA Sea Turtle Monitoring Contract Recommendation: It is recommended by the Bay County TDC that the Board of County Commissioners approve and execute the contract (EXHIBIT 1) with RMA for the 2014 sea turtle monitoring on the Panama City Beaches, and further authorize the Chairman to execute and deliver the corresponding amendment to the state grant agreement 11BA2 to specifically include this work in the tasks generally described in the grant agreement and to include FDEP's cost-sharing of this work within FDEP's cost-sharing commitment made in the grant agreement. This project will be paid from the Third Cent Tax Trust Fund (Account 0292-5303478). Clerk's Reports 5. FWC Grant for Artificial Reefs Recommendation: Board authorize the Chairman to sign a grant agreement with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in the amount of $60,000 to fund artificial reef construction and deployment in the Gulf of Mexico.
Gulf Coast Triathlon Route Authorization Recommendation: Board to authorize the use of County road rights-of-way on Saturday, May 10, 2014 for the 32nd Annual Gulf Coast Triathlon.
Amendment to Moped and Scooter Ordinance Recommendation: Board conduct a public hearing to consider adopting an ordinance amending Bay County Code, Chapter 24, Traffic, Article III, Motorcycle, Motorscooter and Moped Rentals
Lifeguard Ambulance Service COPCN Recommendation: Board to approve contract and issue a certificate of public convenience and necessity (COPCN) for Lifeguard Ambulance Service of Florida, LLC.
