County Attorney 1. MOU between 14th Judicial Circuit and Bay County Recommendation: Board to approve Amended Memorandum of Understanding between Bay County and the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit, which adds the language of Paragraph 4(d) to provide a process for County Judicial Employees to coordinate worker’s compensation coverage with the State Court. Purchasing 2. HD Generator Reject Bids Recommendation: Board: 1) Reject bid received in response to Invitation to Bid (ITB) 15-12 Bay County Health Department Dental Clinic Emergency Generator Installation Public Works 3. Bay Shore Drive Drainage Easement Recommendation: Board: 1) Accept the drainage easements on Bay Shore Drive; and, 2) Authorize the Chairman to execute the legal documents; and, 3) Authorize the Clerk of Court to record the drainage easements. (District V) Tourist Development Board 4. Preble Rish, Inc. 2015 Annual Beach Surveying Task Order No. 6 Recommendation: It is recommended by the Bay County TDC that the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Task Order 6 with Preble-Rish, Inc. for the 2015 beach surveying and survey report in the amount of $83,145, and further authorize the Chairman to execute and deliver the corresponding amendment to the state grant agreement 11BA2 to specifically include this work in the tasks generally described in the grant agreement and to include FDEP’s cost-sharing of this work within FDEP’s cost-sharing commitment made in the grant agreement. This project will be paid from the Third Cent Tax Trust Fund (Account 0291-5303104). 5. CB&I Coastal Planning & Engineering 2015 Annual Beach Monitoring Task Order No. 7 Recommendations: It is recommended by the Bay County TDC that the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Task Order 7 with Coastal Planning & Engineering, Inc., now known as, CB&I Coastal Planning & Engineering, Inc. (CB&I), for the 2015 beach monitoring report in the amount of $25,878, and further authorize the Chairman to execute and deliver the corresponding amendment to the state grant agreement 11BA2 to specifically include this work in the tasks generally described in the grant agreement and to include FDEP’s cost-sharing of this work within FDEP’s cost-sharing commitment made in the grant agreement. This project will be paid from the Third Cent Tax Trust Fund (Account 0291- 5303104). Utilities Services 6. Cathodic Protection at Deer Point Dam Recommendations: Staff recommends the Board award the Cathodic Protection at Deer Point Dam contract to Allied Corrosion Industries, Inc. 7. Liquid Sodium Hypochlorite Contract Recommendations: Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a one-year contract (with three one-year renewal options) with Odyssey Manufacturing Company to supply liquid sodium hypochlorite used as a disinfecting agent in the treatment of potable water. Ad Valorem Tax Exemptions for Eastern Shipbuilding and NWF Holdings, Inc. Recommendations: Board conduct a public hearing to consider adopting an ordinance granting an ad valorem tax exemption to Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. for certain tangible personal property, as an expanding business, and granting an ad valorem tax exemption to Northwest Florida Holdings, Inc. for certain real property improvements to facilitate the expansion of Eastern Shipbuilding.
Amendment to Chapters 8 and 9 and Section 2307 of the Land Development Regulations Recommendations: Board to conduct a quasi-judicial public hearing to consider a proposal to amend Chapters 8 and 9 (Industrial and Agriculture zones, respectively) and Section 2307 (Landfills) of the Land Development Regulations.
Amendment to Sections 3404 and 3405 of the Land Development Regulations Recommendations: Board to conduct a quasi-judicial public hearing to consider a proposal to amend Sections 3404 and 3405 of the Land Development Regulations concerning the placement of manufactured and site built homes in the Beaches Special Treatment Zone. (District V).
